Scared of everything by Liza Scott

The last 3 steps always creaked so badly I hated these 3 steps I could never sneak upstairs without the whole house knowing. I would often try and jump over them but never really made it over the third step.
It was bed time again those dreaded words I wished would never come "come on lisa bed time lets have ya" dad would say .I would get up slowly giving kisses and cuddles to everyone saying goodnight. I would not do this out of the goodness of my heart, I did it to prolong my time downstairs.
Creak creak creak!  I was slowing making my way up the big flight of stairs .I had one hour ,one hour until my sister zoe would be sent to bed. This hour was the longest hour of the night for a small child time ticked by so slowly but this hour was never ending for me.
Up to the bathroom I went I needed to go to the toilet and stay on there as long as I could. Staring around the bathroom with big eyes trembling with fear, finally settling my gaze on the same spot I looked at every night the tiny eye hole as I called it, in the bathroom door why was it there, who made it and who is watching me?

A Whisper from an Angel: How I Became a Bridge Between Heaven and EarthA Whisper from an Angel: How I Became a Bridge Between Heaven and Earth by Christine Holohan & Verna McHugh

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Whisper from an Angel How I Became a Bridge Between Heaven and Earth

How she became a bridge between heaven and earth thats it in a nutshell.Christine Holohan tells us exactly how this started for her and what she has done to use her wonderful gift to help others.Missing people ,murders, messages of hope these are some of the ways in which she helps others,However her "gift" can sometimes be a curse that has been more than she can bare at times. For christine her journey has been worth it,The good outway the bad.And when all said and done this truely is a gift.

This is a true story and a real eye opener weather you are a believer or not this book is well worth a read.I personally loved it and i would love to meet christine she must be a very special lady. This book will stay in my collection and i will bet i will read this again and again.

the worst part of the book is that it had to end :)

For the love of my mother by John Rodgers

For the Love of My MotherFor the Love of My Mother by J.P. Rodgers

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I thought this was a  good read. John Rodgers tells the story of his mothers life, from being raped to having to give up her baby and her time in one of the infamous magdelene laundrysran by evil nuns.A heartwarming read about one women who never gives up hope on being reunited with her son.Nothing matters but this.

I especially enjoyed the ending and the outcome ,I must admit the middle of the book was long winded and i wanted to reach for the fast forward button in some places but i still enjoyed the book and the story

although this is not one of my favs still worth a read

The Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!  So, grab the logo, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted in the Linky list below!!

The Hop lasts Friday-Monday every week, so if you don't have time to Hop today, come back later and join the fun!  This is a weekly event!  And stop back throughout the weekend to see all the new blogs that are added!  We get over 200 links every week!!

RULES:

Your blog should have content related to books, including, but not limited to book reviews.

1.  Enter your book blog link in the Linky List below
In your link, please state the main genre that you review:  eclectic, contemp. fiction, ya, paranormal, mystery, non-fiction, etc.

Example:  Crazy-for-Books (eclectic adult fiction)

2. Post about the Hop on your blog.  Spread the word about the book party!  The more the merrier!  In your blog post, answer the following question (new question each week!).

If you have a suggestion for a future HOP question, click here to fill out the form!  Thanks!

This week's question comes from Barb who blogs at Sugarbeat's Books:

"Why do you read the genre that you do?  What draws you to it?"

My answer: I am not sure i have a Genre but i do read true stories the most as i love to totally lose myself in the words and this for me is easier to do when i know this really happened i get depply involved as i can imagine having to go through what these people are going through,Having been through similar in my life.
I also love to read adult fiction for the same reasons really to get involved in the character being painted in the book its all very inspiring..
3.  Visit other blogs in the Linky List!  Make new friends!  Follow new book bloggers!  Talk about books!  Rave about authors!  Take the time to make a quality visit!  Check out other posts and content, make a new friend!  Don't randomly follow someone if you never intend on actually following them!  No spamming please!  (Please do not leave your link and not visit other blogs - it's just not cool and not in the spirit of the Hop!)

And just as an FYI - this event is not something you should feel that you have to participate in every week.  If you want to join in and link up once a month, GREAT!  It's up to you how often you participate!

So, have fun HOPPING and enjoy your BOOK PARTY weekend!!!
UPDATE:  THE BOOK BLOGGER HOP DOES NOT ACCEPT TWITTER LINKS!  IF YOU LEAVE A TWITTER LINK, IT WILL BE DELETED!!!  ONLY YOUR BLOG URL IS ACCEPTED!  THANK YOU!
